We have an incredible show coming up on February 6th that I really want you to be a part of.
It’s a cause close to my heart. The concert benefits the Wolf Education & Research Center (WERC) .. This is a picture of a black wolf named Romeo .. I knew him like any human should know a wolf.. at a very great distance.. He was a lone wolf that resided in the Mendenhall Glacier area of Alaska. I took winter walks to the glacier during a lost and lonely period in my life, and one day I felt someone watching me and I turned to look and saw this face, staring at me with kind, strong eyes.. he was magnificent.. I am honored to have been visited by him at a distance on a handful of occasions.. seeing him made time stand still.. and all that mattered was the moment I was in with him .. I knew every second of his gaze was a gift.. he was special and beautiful.. and he was shot and killed, by someone who knew nothing of wolves … his death shocked the town, and the glacier now his tombstone, is an empty land without him.. ..Ignorance causes so much pain, anger and loss.. it’s why I believe in Education of ALL kinds, but especially that of the misunderstood creatures of the earth. Please join us on February 6th.. I dedicate what I sing that night for the spirit of my black prince.. Romeo
